CS International 2025 - A Reflection
Richard Stevenson, 2025 CS International Conference Programme Manager and CS Magazine Editor.
Now celebrating its 15th anniversary, CS International continues to evolve to ensure it offers a detailed overview of all the important advances within our community. At the latest event, held on 8-9 April at the Sheraton Hotel in Brussels, delegates were informed of the latest developments in metrology, process equipment, epitaxy and devices through conversations within a packed exhibition hall, and by attending around 40 talks covering five key themes: GaN – Going beyond fast charging; Maintaining momentum for the microLED; Optimising opportunities for SiC success; Expanding the emission envelope; and Ultra-wide bandgap materials – The ultimate devices.
Chris Meadows, Co-chair of the 2025 CS International Conference
It is great to reflect on the fifteenth CS-International conference held on Brussels on 8th and 9th April 2025. It was amazing to see the continued freshness and enthusiasm from more than 700 delegates representing our vibrant compound semiconductor community at this premier industry event. With more than forty excellent talks covering five themes, the intense two-day conference explored in depth, the role of compound semiconductors across a wide range of applications including: GaN - Going beyond fast charging; Maintaining momentum for the microLED; Optimising opportunities for SiC success; Expanding the emission envelope; and Ultra-wide band-gap materials: The ultimate devices.
As in previous years, there was an infectious buzz around this year’s event starting at the reception on Monday evening and extending through the conference at the various networking sessions and interactions with exhibitors.
My thanks go to our sponsors, partners, and exhibitors for making this event possible, and to everyone attending and supporting CS-International 2025 as the premier forum for our global semiconductor community.
